Watkins Glen International (Classic Boot)

The Nissan GTP class at Watkins Glen saw significant volatility among the front-runners. Jacob Reid4 secured the win after starting from pole position, completing 38 laps and leading 19 of them despite accumulating two incidents. While Reid4 maintained a strong pace, the race was defined by the collapse of Shady Ahmad and Rafael Paiva2. Ahmad and Paiva2 dominated the middle stint, trading the lead four times between laps 13 and 25. However, both drivers crashed out of contention following their battle for the top spot. Ahmad, who led for a significant duration, finished in P9 with five incidents, while Paiva2 finished P4 with five incidents. Brendan Lim finished second, completing 37 laps with a clean race, while Laust Olsen recovered from a P5 start to take third, despite nine incidents and six laps led. In the Audi 90 GTO class, Joram Vanhixe delivered a standout performance, climbing 10 positions from an 11th-place start to take the class victory. Vanhixe completed 34 laps with four incidents, successfully navigating a field of 26 entries. Arturas Kundelis, who started in P6, finished second after 34 laps and seven incidents. Romain Belo rounded out the podium in third place, completing 33 laps with five incidents after starting from the fifth position. The field saw several notable climbs throughout the event as drivers maneuvered through the 26-car GTO class. Christian R Diaz recorded the most significant gain, advancing 15 positions during the race. Brandon White24 also showed strong pace by moving up 13 spots, while Pablo Rangel2 gained eight positions. Conversely, the race proved challenging for other competitors, notably Fabian Jungbluth, who recorded 10 incidents during his run. The combination of early-race attrition among the GTP leaders and the high-traffic environment in the GTO class defined the final results at the Classic Boot circuit.
